All RPRC range rules will be adhered to. Six full size bowling pins are targets for this match 15” x 4.75” at widest point. The targets will be placed on the 25-yard range at 15 yards from the firing position. The match will count BOTH in the Pistol Division of the Club Championship and in the Overall Club Championship. Safety talk at 9:45 AM. Competition starts at 10:00 AM.

The NRA Basic Pistol class consists of two parts and provides students a Certificate acceptable for application for a Virginia concealed carry permit (CWP). Each part is about 4 hours long.
The classroom session teaches the knowledge, skills and attitudes of firearm mechanics and safety. We teach proper standing positions, how to properly hold the pistol and breathing techniques. The classroom is followed by a live fire qualification course. Classroom sessions are held at Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Following the classroom session, a live fire session is conducted at the Rappahannock Pistol & Rifle Club range.

TARGETS: NRA A23-3 Bullseye.
GUNS: Any Centerfire (CF) Rifle
NO RELEASE TRIGGERS
SIGHTS: Any open sights, aim point (red dot), or scope, no light projecting (laser) type.
RESTS: Slings are permitted, no supporting rifle directly on the ground with other than a part of the body, no shooting jacket.
