Punch Paper Match Definition for RPRC 2025

RPRC Pistol Match – “Punch Paper (Zombies)”

This event will:

• Follow all RPRC range rules

• Count toward both the Pistol Division and the Overall Club Championship

• Centerfire only competition

• Mandatory safety briefing 15 minutes prior to the match to review safety and course of fire.

Match Details

Total of 24 shots

• Targets: NRA AP-1 targets, placed at 7 yards, 10 yards, 25 yards, and 7 yards (from the firing line,

Position 3 on the 25-yard range).

• Equipment:

o Guns: Any centerfire pistol meeting range rules

o Sights: Any sights except those projecting an image onto the target (no lasers)

o Triggers: Release triggers prohibited

o Magazines/Reloads: Second magazine, speed loader, or second pistol allowed to achieve 8

rounds for a stage of fire

COURSE OF FIRE – Competitors must fire all stages in the standing position starting from low ready.

• Stage 1: 8 shots, 1 string in 12 seconds

o 2 shots per target (7 yd, 10 yd, 25 yd, 7 yd), fired left to right

• Stage 2: 8 shots, 1 string in 10 seconds

o 2 shots per target, any order

• Stage 3: Repeat Stage 2

Alibi Rule: One alibi allowed. Restart begins at the time of misfire (as recorded on the timer). Timer will be set

to the amount of time remaining and the shooter may restart from low ready or the next point of fire (next

target), shooter’s choice.

Tie-Breaker: Number of X’s

There will be a mandatory match briefing 15 minutes prior to the match to review safety and course of fire.
