Bowling Pin Competition 2024
Description: Six full size bowling pins are targets for this match 15” x 4.75” at widest point. The targets will be placed on the 25-yard range at 15 yards from the firing position. Score is determined by the number of pins hit and knocked down. Each shooter is also timed. Shooter time is determined by the shooters last shot, with a maximum of 12 shots (2 magazines, a speed loader, or second revolver) in 20 seconds. Time is used as a tie breaker. Each of three stages is limited to a maximum time of 20 seconds, and a maximum of 12 shots.
DISTANCE: 15 yards
TARGETS: Wood bowling pin: six full-size bowling pins will be setup evenly on a flat surface at 20 inch intervals at a distance of 15 yards from the firing position.
FIREARM: ●. Center fire handguns adhering to range rules
● SIGHTS: Any sights, except sights projecting an image on the target (Lasers) are prohibited.
● TRIGGERS: No release triggers
AMMUNITION: Ammunition must adhere to range rules.
· Auto loaders are permitted two magazines of 6 each.
· Revolvers are permitted to load 6 rounds, and have second speed loader, or a second revolver.
COURSE OF FIRE:
· 3 stages of fire, same string each time (shoot pins 3 times)
· Up to twelve shots may be fired in each stage.
· Shooters will start from low-ready standing position
· Shooters will shoot from the firing line or designated firing position
· A timer with a random buzzer will start time.
· The shooters last shot will end time
· Maximum time will be 20 sec.
· Pins must be hit and knocked down to count.
· Tie pin count is broken by best time
· Pins knocked over by hitting the pin platform must be hit by the competitor to count.
· Gun malfunctions must be addressed during the 20 sec period including safety.
· Competitor will reshoot a string effected by wind blowing over pins
· Late shots will be penalized 1 pin for each shot over the time limit
· There will be a mandatory match briefing 15 minutes prior to the match to review safety and course of fire.
